X slips outside after her shift in the nightclub. She does not want to look at any more paperwork for the day.
Training is more useful, anyway.
Which is why she is outside in her usual workout attire, warming up with some stretches.
It is good to make sure she is not losing flexibility.

This next pause is slightly longer, and X's voice goes tight.
"My teammates were hurt, too."

She says, gently, "How long ago was this?"

"It is important?"

"Well, there's 'my teammates were hurt' and there's 'my teammates are still in the hospital."

"Elixir is a healer. No one is in the infirmary."
This next pause is a little longer.
"Cessily has nightmares. And Sooraya always looks sad."
And, of course, there's Surge and Julian and that entire mess. She is not talking about that.

"That sounds rough," Buffy says delicately. "You said the demon's dead now?"

X's reply is simple, and short.
For a moment.
"I do not know. It was not easy to see."
