The in-between is mine.

It does not make sense. The Purifiers had Rahne, but they did not kill her. They did not make ransom demands, or seek an exchange of information. They did not stage a public execution.

After two days, they gave her back.

The number of Purifiers Logan questioned, that X questioned, that were injured--

They were instructed to hold out until a prearranged time. Or until a signal was given.

It will take some time to determine which is the case. And why.

But first--

"You are going to get Elixir."

X is looking up at Angel, head tilted just slightly. Waiting.

"Rahne needs him," Warren explains.

"I know." She pauses, shifting her duffel bag on her shoulder. "Take me with you. When you get him."

Beat.

"I want to go home."
